It is vital to teach these five basic commands to your dog, as this can be helpful to your pet, if he gets trapped in the places where he cannot get out. Training your fur baby may require patience, hard work and time. But this will also help to form a strong bond with your pet and keep your dog safe. Here are five basic command that you need to teach your beloved pet with some training. 5 Vital Commands To Teach A Dog Command “Come”: This is the most important command to teach your dog. To start with this make sure you put a leash and collar on your pooch. You need to get down on your dog's level and say "come," while gently guiding him with the leash. When your dog gets to you praise and reward him with the treats. Make him do this for several times and them without the leash in an enclosed area. Command “Down”: You may find hard to teach this command and you will need lots of patience. Try to get a strong smelling treat and hold it in your closed hand. Hold your closed hand up to the dog's nose and move your hand down to the floor and ensure that while doing this you guide your dog. Slide that same hand along the ground so your dog will lower the rest of his body and follow along. Once he is completely down - say the command "Down" and give him the treat. You can practice this for four to five times by encouraging your dog with treats. Command “Sit”: This is the most easiest command to teach your dog. Stand or kneel in front of your dog, using a treat to grab his attention. Slowly move your hand up so his head will follow the treat. His bottom should be lower as his head follows. If your dog stays standing, with the other hand make him to sit down. Once he is in sitting position, reward him with the treat. Practice these few times on regular basis until your dog has mastered it. Command “Stay”: Once your dog has learned the command "Sit," you can proceed to teach him to stay. To train "Stay" command ask your furry pal to sit and then with an open palm, say "Stay". This can be little tricky, as you dog has to learn self-control and patience. Make sure you praise and reward your dog, as he learn to stay. Command “Leave It”: This is the best command for dogs who are very curious. To train this, put your dog on a leash and drop a toy or a ball on the ground. Walk your dog side by that, if your furry pal make an attempt to grab the ball or toy in his mouth, pulling you towards. Say "Leave It" and pull him away. When he gets away without a pull from you, reward him with a treat. Repeat this on leash and then without leash. If your dog has not been trained the above basic commands, start it soon by following the simple terms. All The Best
